Just add some ghee or oil to mix and have with your favourite tiffin or mix with hot steamed rice for a great comfort food experience.
Milagai Podi’s & Spicy Dal Powders are either fine or coarse dry powders which have a mixture of ground pulses/lentils/dals, dry spices, dried red chilli, sesame seeds and other ingredients with various combinations. It is traditionally used as a condiment for Idli’s, Dosa’s and other South Indian tiffins. The Dal Powders are also mixed with Hot steamed rice and Ghee. Some Podi’s can also be used for Cooking and garnishing any South Indian dish. Spice Mix/Masala Powders like Sambar Podi and Rasam Podi are used to make the perfect South Indian Sambar and Rasam.

There are different versions of this powder and this Spicy Dal Powder has just the Red Gram Dal or Tuvar Dal along with other spices.


Red Gram Dal, Red Chilli, Pepper, Tamarind, Jeera (Cumin), Asafoetida and Salt.
Contains no added preservatives, taste enhancers, colours or flavours.

Usage Instructions:
Spicy Dal Powder/Podi is a good condiment for South Indian Tiffins like Idli, Dosa,Uthappam, Idiyappam etc. It can be had as the Powder form or mixed with Ghee or Oil. It can also be sprinkled on any of the Tiffins along with Ghee or Oil. Cold Pressed Sesame oil will be the best oil suited for the Podi’s. Add this Podi with Hot steamed rice and Ghee or Oil to have a great rice dish. You can pair it with any of your favourite Pickles from Panakam-Tradition in a Bottle’s offerings.

Storage & Precautions:
Keep away from direct sunlight. Store in a cool and dry place. Refrigeration not needed.
Always use a clean and completely dry spoon.

This Podi will be available anytime of the year. It is a “Made to Order” Podi and will be freshly made after order confirmation.

2-3 days for dispatch from the date of Order Confirmation subject to stock availability. We have
partnered with a reputed logistics partner and we deliver across India to all metros and certain non-metro cities as well.

Packaging & Shipping Cost:
We use only Glass Jars/Bottles for most of our products. The products are carefully packed for safe delivery and the packaging charge is included in the total cost of the product.
